No. 46203 "Princess Margaret Rose" was the 4th member of the LMS Princess Royal Class Pacific 4-6-2s to be built and the second survivor in preservation. The locomotive holds the Princess Royal Class speed record of 102.5mph it did on the 3rd of May 1936 during a brake test run from London Euston to Crewe. No. 46203 was preserved by Butlins for static display at his holiday camp at Pwllheli in North Wales. The locomotive was then bought by the Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust who restored it to mainline running in the 1990s. Withdrawn from service in 1996 the locomotive is currently on display in the Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust West Shed.
