The overhaul on ex Manchester Ship Canal Hudswell Clark built 0-6-0T (Works No. 680) No. 32 "Gothenburg", (aka Thomas the Tank Engine) has now been completed and the locomotive underwent a successfull steam test and moved around the yard under its own steam at Bury and is now fully operational again. The locomotive will be ready in time for the East Lancashire Railway’s Day out with Thomas event in May 2025.

The ex Manchester Ship Canal Hudswell Clark built 0-6-0T (Works No. 680) No. 32 "Gothenburg", (aka Thomas the Tank Engine) will be undergoing a fast track overhaul at the end of the first weekend in October 2024, with the aim of getting the locomotive back into service in time for the next Day out with Thomas event at the East Lancashire Railway in May 2025.

The ex Manchester Ship Canal Hudswell Clark built 0-6-0T "Gothenburg" will be painted back as Thomas The Tank Engine again as it will be going on what will be a number of visits abroad to the Odense National Railway Museum in Denmark for their Day Out With Thomas event out there on the 16th to 19th of May 2019 and onwards. There is also a possible visit to the Dutch National Railway Museum at Utrecht in the Netherlands for their Day Out With Thomas events out there as well?

Former Manchester Ship Canal Hudswell Clark built 0-6-0T "Gothenburg" will be visiting the Ribble Steam Railway for there Industrial Steam Gala on the weekend of March the 24th and 25th.
