The former Brookfield Foundry Bagnall built 0-6-0PT "Brookfield" has a interesting history. No. 2613 was originally designed as a meter gauge locomotive for export to Turkey. Part way in its construction it was commandeered as part of the war effort and built as a standard gauge locomotive. It was sent new to the Admiralty stores at Stoke on Trent where it was used as a shunting engine there till 1945. Afterwards it remained in use there on the same site, which became Brookfield Foundry until 1961. The locomotive was put up for auction in 1983 when the foundry closed in the same year. It was sold for preservation in the same year. After 3 years of restoration the locomotive moved to the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway where it entered service in 1986. In 1993 the locomotive visited both the Gwili Railway and the Foxfield Railway before it moved to the Mangapps Railway Museum the same year. Where "Brookfield has been ever since and is currently under a major overhaul.
