A milestone was reached in the restoration of former British Sugar Corporation, Bardney Hudswell Clarke built 0-6-0ST (Works No. 1604) No. 4 "Alston" as the newly rebuilt boiler was placed onto the frames of the locomotive.

The former British Sugar Corporation, Bardney Hudswell Clarke built 0-6-0ST (Works No. 1604) No. 4 "Alston" is in the final stages of its restoration as her boiler is due back this week at the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway to be refitted to the locomotive.

Loco dismantled and assessed for restoration. Restoration now under way. Loco owned by MSLR and will be used on the Museums railway.
