The former Belle Vue Zoo Bassett Lowke built 15inch gauge Atlantic 4-4-2 "Synolda" will be the second visiting locomotive at the Whistlestop Valley Railway (Kirklees Light Railway) for their annual Gala weekend on the 9th and 10th of September 2023.

The former Belle Vue Zoo Bassett Lowke built 15inch gauge 4-4-2 "Synolda" has had its overhaul completed and the locomotive is currently being tested before entering service at the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway in 2021.

SYNOLDA was built to operate on the private Sand Hutton Railway. The loco was named after the owners wife. Later it operated at funfairs at Southend and Belle Vue Zoo. Donated to Ravenglass & Eskdale railway in 1978. Apprentices from British Nuclear Fuels, Sellafield restored SYNOLDA to working order. She is still operated on special occasions., painted in the blue livery of Narrow Gauge Railway Ltd.

The Ravenglass railway had an identical loco, which they called SANS PAREIL

Whilst at Belle Vue it ran under the name "Prince Charles" for a period of time.
