The ex War Department rebuilt Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 tender conversion No. 2890 "Douglas", is visiting the visiting the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway for the very first time to be part of the line up for their Hunslet Gala from the 27th to 29th of June 2025.

Having been on hire to the Spa Valley Railway since June 2021, the ex War Department rebuilt Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 tender conversion No. 2890 "Douglas" has now left the railway and has returned back home to the East Lancashire Railway at Bury in Lancashire, where her owner Andy Booth and his team will carry out some work on the locomotive over the winter.

The rebuilt Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 tender conversion No. 2890 "Douglas" will be going on loan to the Spa Valley Railway for the 2021 and 2022 seasons starting from the end of May 2021.

No. 2890 "Douglas" has now been given a British Railways make over and carries BR Number No. 52345. Which was the number from a long since scrapped Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway A Class 0-6-0 Goods. Which was added to No. 2890 by her owner during the East Lancashire Railway’s Spring Steam Gala.

The rebuilt Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 Tender Loco No. 2890 "Douglas" is to go on a medium term loan to the Spa Valley Railway in Kent this summer. No. 2890 will arrive in mid June there and is on hire to the railway until at least March 2021.

No. 2890 "Douglas" has now arrived at the Great Central Railway (Nottingham) at Ruddington, Nottinghamshire for its long stay there. The loco will enter traffic there this Easter.

The rebuilt Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 Tender Loco No. 2890 "Douglas" will be leaving the East Lancashire Railway from mid March as it is going on loan to the Great Central Railway (Nottingham) at Ruddington for the 2018 season there but could be staying longer.

The rebuilt Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 Tender Loco "Douglas" has been steamed and test run at the Ribble Steam Railway today. There is still some work to be done like painting still but the loco is now back in service.

The "Barbara." is no longer a 0-6-0st anymore. It was rebuild as #10 Douglas a 0-6-0. The Barbara is Douglas now used for Day Out With Thomas events at Alresford, Hampshire
