I just checked with the railroad and No. 19 is still out of service - no tourist trains running at this time.

The train is actually still owned by the YWRR and has been running again for several years now. Status should be changed to operational.

Status is "Operable" on the Yreka Western Railroad. The former YWRR/McCloud River Railroad #18 has been sold to the group resurrecting the V&T in Nevada.

Rumor is that this locomotive was sold to the State of Nevada to be used on the New V&T.

Sorry news from Yreka - a major downturn in business has caused the cancellation of passenger service on the line.  #19 still needs new flues and sits in the engine house.

19  is currently out of service because of routine manitenance.  SW-8 #21 will haul the passsenger runs while MRS-1 244 (from the FRRS at Portola) will handle freight chores.  News from TRAINS magazine.
