The railway museum at Da’an Bei in Jilin, China where ex China Rail JS Class 2-8-2 JS 8246, is located at is known as the Da’an Locomotive Expo Park. Which has the largest display of steam locomotives consisting of 79 steam locomotives preserved and on display there which was a Guniness World Record on the 30th of June 2021. Da’an Locomotive Expo Park was established in 2011. On the site of the former steam locomotive depot ther and all the steam locomotives on display including JS 8246 are all carefully maintained by a group of experienced engineers.

The ex China Rail JS Class 2-8-2 JS 8246, which was built at Datong Works in 1987 is one of the JS Class locomotives that has small smoke deflectors fitted, and worked at the Yuanbaoshan Coal Railway until 2018. Happily this JS Class 2-8-2 has been preserved at the new railway museum at Da’an Bei in Jilin, Northeast China.
