Hulleras de Sabero 0-4-0T No. 103

The former Hulleras de Sabero, Henschel & Sohn built 0-4-0T (Works No. 16045) No. 103, has steamed for the first time in over 50 years when its restoration was completed and it moved for the first time in preservation. The locomotive is now operational and is the first locomotive of the former Collection X to steam again.

Having not ran for over 50 years the former Hulleras de Sabero Henschel & Sohn built 0-4-0T (Works No. 16045) No. 103 has been sold after being with the Phyllis Rampton NG Railway Trust since 1970. The locomotive has moved to a new home at Braxted Bakery near Witham in Essex for restoration for use on the Braxted Bakery Railway there.

This was originally delivered to the former war railway around Tigris, Turkey with no recorded identity. Many years later it was acquired by P Rampton NG Trust, Surrey, England. Between the two world wars it conceivably worked in Spain, from where it was probably acquired and obtained identity No. 103.
