230.040 was built by Schichau-Elbing,Nr.Fab.2406-1916 and she was scrapped in 1996.She was ex.KPEV DZG 2414-Saspe.

CFR No. 230.040 stored in the strategic dump at Viseu on 6 May 1996. The loco is a German built example of a Prussion (KPEV) class P8 4-6-0. Seven examples of the class were present in the dump on 6 May including 230.040/198/231 and four unidentified examples
