On the face of it, there appears to be duplication with a loco with identical details at Dong Anh. Either the details for one of them are incorrect or there is duplication, but if so, which is the correct location?

This is Esslingen 4227/1929 which was SLM repair for the Krongh Pha-Da Lat, Indochina as their No. 40-306 and where it was in 1988.

This is an 0-8-0T cog, all of those at Thap Cham are 0-8-0ts. In the 1940s some 2-6-0ts came from Switzerland, but in the late 1990s those were taken back along with 2 0-8-0Ts built by SLM. There are several 1929 SLMs and several Essligen 0-8-0Ts too. But definitely an 0-8-0T wheel arrangement. Jacob
