The original number of this engine on Moorem Keppel & CO. and later Middle Fork RR was NO.6. The last steam engine on the RR was Heisler No7 ow owned by the WV Railroad Museum.

The CSRR has stated on Facebook that the climax will be in operation in 2015. They have been working hard and now they will soon have all three logging engine types in service.

The anticipated completion has been moved to 2011.

This Climax locomotive is currently undergoing restoration for future operation on the Cass Scenic Railroad as its Number 9.  The work is being underwritten and completed by members of the Mountain State Railroad & Logging Historical Association, and work is anticipated to be completed by May of 2007.  Go to www.msrlha.org for more details and pictures of its work progress.
