The photo shows the rotary snowplough, but was it self propelled?

Looking at the layout of the machine, it appears to have leading and trailing trucks, but no evidence of driving wheels. Could just be the photo. However, the steam pipes from the top of the boiler lead down to horizontal cylinders above the chassis frame. Another photo shows that they drive the cutting disc through heavy duty exposed bevel gears. There appears to be no link to the wheels.

Any better information would be appreciated, especially if you have seen the Alco (Cooke) record for this interesting, if rusty, survivor.

This locomotive is a rotary snowplough. Originally built for the FCTA (Ferrocarril Trasandino Argentino), it became part of FCGB upon nationalisation in 1948. Following withdrawal it was placed at Cruz del Eje for display. A visit in January 2024 showed the loco still on site. It can be seen sticking out of a wall next to the station platform.
