The locomotive was delivered to the original DRB (successor to the DRG) as No. 52 5689 and then sequestrated by the USSR in 1945 for the SŽD who gave it the identity TE-5689. It was noted in Brest, Belarus in 1996. The letters ‘CZD’ are believed superfluous to this file, presumably should read SŽD ?
