The locomotive was delivered to the DRB (successor to the DRG) during WW2 as No. 52 5540 and after a short time in 1945, was sequestrated by the USSR for use with the SŽD as No. TE-5540. Maybe CZD is a mistype in this instance for SŽD?, though it could have worked in Czech/Slovakia ? However, it was last noted stored in Brest, Belarus in 1996.
