The locomotive was purchased from Storybook Island in October of 2021 and moved to Sturgis SD in February of 2022. It has been refurbished over the last few years and as of July 19, 2026, was able to move under its own power using compressed air. Much more work needs to be done to put it under steam, but we feel is very promising.
