This is the first surviving Kriegslok built by O&K to survive into preservation, that was delivered to the then DRB in the Stettin Direction early 1941 as No. 50 996. It was stored by the Military SBZ in November 1945 then adopted by the new DR in its previous identity during 1949. In late 1960 it went to Aw Stendal for reconstruction, emerging quickly as No. 50 3636, being computerised as No. 50 3636-3 a decade later, running until 1989 when called again to Meiningen for conversion to a Heating Lok for use at Bw Dresden-Altstadt and finally withdrawn from service in 1991, later being sold to the GES, Stuttgart. In 2013 it was moved to the SVG, Bw Horb.
