No. 39 in the Hoorn–Medemblik Museumstoomtram is a 7.5-ton steam crane. KMDS means Koninklijke Maatschappij “De Schelde”, the builder. Only two of this type were built in Scheldewerf in Vlissingen. Initially fired with coal, it was later converted to gas burners. The crane was self-propelled. It is operational and will be demonstrated on special occasions.
