Originally delivered to the then West German DB as their No. 65 018, it was computerised to No. 065 018 some two decades later working until 1972 when it was withdrawn from Bw Aschaffenburg and preserved, in 1975, by DDM at Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg. It was sold from here to the SSN, Rotterdam in 1995.

SSN last operated this locomotive on 17 November 2018, after which it was withdrawn from operational duties requiring an overhaul for which there are currently few or no funds.I cannot comment The name of the constructor requires changing!

65 018 was surely not built by the WLF. All machines of the DB 65 were built by Krauss-Maffei. Build Date and Construction No. are right.
