This engine is operational, but rarely steamed (almost only during the Terug naar Toen Steam Gala (first weekend of September).

Originally DRG No. 44 1593, it became DR in the same identity after 1948, later No. 44 0593-2 followed by No. 44 1593-1. It was withdrawn near the end of 1991 by the succeeding DB and soon sold to the ETB in Staßfurt who, in 1997 sold it on to the VSM in the Netherlands.
