Renumbering took place in 1921, not 1941. This engine is not operational and will not be because of safety regulations that would require significant changes to the loco, thus changing its historical appearance.

Built as No. 731 for the State Railways (SS) of the Nederlands, this was the last steam locomotive to work a scheduled train in the country for the NS, to whom it was inherited in 1941 and probably renumbered. Apparently it bears, or did, the incorrect works plate No. 282 in preservation.
