Lets get something right, the locomotive in the picture is in Florence Oregon, as she has been for about 28 years. She is still an 0-4-0t the front truck is just there. Her sister locomotive is in Hillsboro Oregon and is under restoration as far as I know. Also the one in Florence is in sorry shape, hopefully she will get some help soon.

The "Alco-Cooke Construction Number List" indicates that Construction Numbers 56175 through 56184 were built for "Stock", to be sold at a later date. All of the units were 0-4-0T's with 16" x 24" Cylinders and had a "Specified" total weight of 97,000 pounds (This is not necessarily the "Actual" total weight). Construction Numbers 56181 and 56182, Road Numbers 4501 and 4502, were shipped to "American Rolling Mill" during January of 1917.

At some point in time after this locomotive left Poneta, IN in the late 1980's it was modified to be a pseudo-2-4-0T.
