By the way, if anyone has any photos of the 643, we would love to have a copy. It was supposedly operating last on the Gulf Division of the Santa Fe in 1953, when it was donated to be on display at the State Fairgrounds, as the "centerpiece" of what was to be a big transportation museum. The locomotive is inside the courtyard area of the travel and transportation building at the faitgrounds and not normally accessible to the public. By the end of the year (2014) the locomotive will be relocated to the Oklahoma Railway Museum in OKC as they are to demolish the travel and tranportation building

We were unable to find the locomotive on the state fair grounds today(4/6/14). I am pretty sure we drove right by the shed it appears to be in and the place on the locator map. We also asked some people if they knew of a steam locomotive on display in the park. They did not.
