This locomotive was originally a coal burner, but in 2001 it was converted to light oil.

This is a 4-cylinder rack and adhesion locomotive. On adhesion sections it works as a 2-cylinder simple, on rack equipped sections as a 4-cylinder simple (contrary to many other rack and adhesion locomotives, which work as compounds on the rack sections)
