The street address for Lincoln Park is 1139 East Elm Street, Lima.  Exit Interstate 75 at State Route 309 and proceed west to the vicinity of Lima Memorial Hospital, turn right at the traffic signal. Go north one block on Shawnee Street to Elm Street, turn left on Elm Street.

NKP 779 was the last steam locomotive built by the Lima, Ohio, Locomotive Works.  The City requested its donation and that took place in 1963, after 5 years storage out of doors at Conneaut, OH.  Upon receipt, it was stored indoors at the Lima Army Tank Plant until the Lincoln Park Railroad Exhibit was completed in 1966.  The late John H. Keller organized the complete exhibit which includes NKP wooden caboose 1091 and NKP wooden business car 5. Since 1966, there has been a roof over the entire exhibit and a solid wall on the north end and west side (DT&I tracks are parallel).  NKP 779 faces south and the south and east sides have chain link fence top to bottom.  Lincoln Park has a few too many trees and photography is difficult.  The equipment is in very good condition and is about 99% complete and original.  The exhibit is locked up all the time with only occasional open houses.  An original DT&I frame depot is located nearby.  The exhibit is lit up at night.
