BRB No. 2 has arrived in the UK and has entered traffic at the Snowdon Mountain Railway in Wales for its month long visit there.

Plans to bring Brienz Rothorn Railway SLM Winterthur built 0-4-0cog No. 2 to visit Snowdon Mountain Railway in North Wales are back on. The 1891 built locomotive will be shipped to the UK for its visit to Snowdon in September where it will take on the climb to the Summit of the highest mountain in Wales and England for the very first time.

Sadly plans for Brienz Rothorn Railway No. 2 to come visit the UK to have a visit to the Snowdon Mountain Railway in Wales this year have been cancelled due to the complexity of its visit. But there hopes that the locomotive could visit in the not to distant future.

Sorry I ment to say it will go on display at the National Railway Museum in York once its stint in North Wales is over. No. 2 will be in the UK by August where its planned to visit the London Transport Museum before it heads for Wales.

Some very special news has come that next year in 2017 Brienz Rothorn Railway No. 2 is to make a visit to the UK in the Autumn of 2017. The locomotive and a carriage will be shipped from Switzerland for a 3 week visit to the Snowdon Mountain Railway to operate a passenger service for three weeks next autumn. Afterwords it will then go no display at the National Railway Museum in York once its stint in North Wales is over. This will be a once in a life time visit for this loco.
