Built to the order of the DRG, but actualyy delivered, and accepted, by the DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn in Braunschweig as No. 01 202 in 03/1937 it was stored awaiting repairs in the OBL-USZ - General operations management of the US zone, Frankfurt (Main) in late 1945. This later became the HVE as the Railway Department into the Transport Administration an, in 1949 th newly created DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn in the then West Germany. From 01/1968 it was computerised as No. 001 202-1 and worked until withdrawal at Bw Hof in 02/1973. During 1974 it worked as a stationary boiler at nearby Bw Marktredwitz but was again retired later that year and in 10/1975 went to Eurovapor, Zürich, Switzerland and from 11/1980 kept privately in Münsingen, Switzerland. It went, in 02/1990, to Club Pacific 01 202, Lyss, Switzerland as a museum locomotive operational since 1991 and, from 01/2007 was assigned the NVR number 90 85 0001 202-0 CH-VPAC.

01 202 operated a Transrail charter comprising of 14 empty sugar beet wagons and a single passenger coach, from Lyss to Frauenfeld Schweitzer Sugar plant exchange sidings on 21 December 2019
