This locomotive was built by the then Swiss Central Railway, Olten (S-C-R) for the Ostermundigden - Steinbruch Railway (O - S - B) outside Berne, as their No. 1 ‘GNOM’. The line closed in 1902 and the engine sold to the Von Roll Co AG as their No7 at their Rodez premises. It was ‘retired’ in 1940 and stored prior to preservation.
