No. 53.7101 (106) is one of the oldest locomotives in Austria, being delivered to the KEB as their No. IV 106 (1868 - 1882) whence it became kkStB No. B II 106 named 'Fusch' (1882 - 1885). It was renumbered by that company to 4717 (1885 - 1905), later No. 47.17 (1905 - 1918) and continuing in this identity with the DÖStB (1918 - 1919); ÖStB (1919 - 1921) and BBÖ (1921 - 1938). It was incorporated into the DRB fleet as No. 53 7101 (1938 - 1945), later ÖStB (1945- 1953) and ÖBB (1953 - 1958) before withdrawal for preservation. It spent several years displayed outside Linz Hbf (see Primary image from 1995) before city reconstruction works forced its removal to Stasshof. Owned by Republik Österreich, Leihvertrag (leased to) ÖBB-Holding AG.
