Sorry about Dry Gulch numbers getting switched. Carbon Limestone #33 was Dry Gulch #43. Tennessee Coal Iron and Railroad #110 (used in Alabama) was Dry Gulch #7. Pioneer and Western #3 (the Crown 4-4-0) is now East Tennessee and Western North Carolina #15

This picture is of Tennessee Coal Iron and Railroad #110, alias Dry Gulch #43 now at Doe River. The notes are correct that the other engine (Carbon Limestone #33) is getting re-boilered for operation in 2024.

New boiler soon to arrive. Should be running on new Doe River Gorge loop of track for the Christmas Train 2024.

Dennis, I think you are correct. I have a vintage photo of #33 when it was known as Huff-n-Puff at Lakeland amusement park near Memphis, TN in the late 1960s. My photo and the photo of the Dry Gulch #43 are almost identical. I think the photos are swapped.

Any chance the two Porters at Dry Gulch are switched? The #7 is a spitting image of the Tennessee Coal and Iron engine that was at Rebel RR / Goldrush Jct. / Dollywood. Check the photo at http://gorillasdontblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/rebel-railroad-pigeon-forge-tennessee.html The dome style, the "too far forward" wagontop in the boiler, the hump in the running board, the extended smokebox, and the panel under the new cab (where the old cab side used to be) all match up. On the other hand, the engine they have numbered 43 has the star number plate that appears to have been a LaSalle touch on the Opryland engines and on Maud L when she was at Cedar Point. It is also the style LaSalle used (with a "3" instead of a star) on Albert at Cedar Point.
