The "Alco-Rhode Island Construction Number List" indicates that Construction Numbers 2939 through 2943, Road Numbers 6 through 10, were shipped to the "Lake Street Elevated" during July of 1893. All of the units were 0-4-4 "Compounds". Cylinders were 13" X 18" and 21" X 18". Drivers were 44". Their Names and Numbers appear in the list as follows:

"John A.", #6; "Gilbert B.", #7; "John H.", #8; "Charles H.", #9; "Clarence A.", #10.

If  the Road Numbers were assigned in numerical order along with the Construction Numbers, the "Charles H.", #9, would have been built under Construction Number 2942 and the "Clarance A.", #10, would have been built under Construction Number 2943.

The construction numbers match and the ownership record matches with my info but the number on the engine in the picture doesn't. I'm not sure if it is #8, #9, or #10
