Boyd Owens reported on Sunday July 25th on Railway Preservation News that the move to North Freedom had been completed. He based his report on a brief article by Paul Swanson detailing the move.

The MCRWY now does indeed own the locomotive, and the funds to move it have been raised. It will be arriving at North Freedom late May, where a cosmetic restoration will be undertaken in the future. It will be displayed with two Copper Range coaches the museum has restored.

This locomotive is now owned by the Mid-Continent Railway Historical Society of North Freedom, WI.  They are currently raising funding to move it, and hope to have it moved to North Freedom by the end of next month.

#29 is actually stored in Ripley Michigan on the Quincy Mining Company Smelter property. The E&LS have no facilities in the Keweenaw proper.
