W931 in service 1951 and withdrawn in 1972. When steam ended 19 W class were stored. W931 was the last stored steam loco belonging to Western Australia Railways when purchased in 1980 by Pichi Richi railway. Appears she is kept as a spare parts pool for the other three W class at Quorn. Mostly kept in the long term storage shed. Along with carriages and Silverton Tramway loco Y5
