With its intermediate overhaul now completed, the ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7828 "Odney Manor", has now returned home to the West Somerset Railway at Minehead in Somerset in time for the summer season.

The ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7828 "Odney Manor", has been moved to Riley & Son Engineering Ltd. at Bury in Lancashire for an intermediate overhaul to be carried out.

The ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7828 "Odney Manor", is set to visit the Great Central Railway for the very first time to star at their Autumn Steam Gala from the 3rd to 6th of October 2024.

No. 7828 h=is back in service and will be hauling trains at the West Somerset Railway in to the New Year.

No. 7828 "Odney Manor" has just completed its overhaul as it has just been steamed for the first time. The locomotive will be undergoing testing before it enters service in 2019.

Completed major overhaul at Minehead in 2011, and renamed "Norton Manor - 40 Commando" in honour of the local Marine Base near the West Somerset Railway. Re-entered service on the West Somerset Railway in 2012. Current livery is BR Brunswick Green, with orange and black lining.

7828 Odney Manor is resident on the line though she might soon be leaving as her boiler ticket is nearly up.  She is a member of the ex GWR Manor Class of 5MT 4-6-0's, built after nationalisation hence she is restored in BR livery.
