Inspection of the loco once it had been stripped at the start of the overhaul showed that the loco needs a new cylinder block as well as extensive boiler repairs. Apparently the boiler is older than the loco, having been built for a Dean Goods loco!

GWR 57XX Class 0-6-0PT No. 7715 (London Transport L99) is also to be overhauled back in to running order again.

Work has started on overhauling 7715 (L99) at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre and is expected to take 2 years to do.
