'Norwood' has recently moved to the Weardale Railway, and is stored at the Weardale Railway's base at Wolsingham steelworks. The loco needs full restoration. 'Norwood' had the distinction of being the last working steam loco in the North East of England when it finished work in the late 1970s. Owned for a while by Sunderland Council, it was bought in 2007 by the Weardale Locomotive preservation Group who intend to restore it to working order. Cost is estimated at £126,000.
