Sorry but No. 53808 has been relocated to the Mid-Hants Railway at Alresford in Hampshire not the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre sorry.

The former Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway 7F Class 2-8-0 No. 53808 will be leaving the West Somerset Railway aa it is being relocated to the Mid-Hants Railway at Alresford in Hampshire where the locomotive will remain for the remainder of its boiler ticket which runs out in 2022.

The Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway 7F 2-8-0 No. 53808 has stepped in at the last minute to replace the unenviable LNER B1 No. 1264 at the Severn Valley Railway s Spring Steam Gala on the weekend of March the 16th to the 18th 2018.

Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway 7F 2-8-0 No. 53808 will be one of two visiting locomotives to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway for there Spring Steam Gala on the weekend from Friday 9th March till Sunday 11th March 2018.

The Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway 7F No. 53808 is to be a replacement for Back 5 45305 at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for there Cotswold Festival of Steam gala on May 27-29.

The SDJR livery shown in the picture is a demonstration only to show what the loco may have looked like. These locos spent their entire working lives in plain black livery.

There is a lot more work to be done on 88.  She is an ex Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway 7F 2-8-0, built by the Midland Railway at Derby.  She has been restored once and is now undergoing a major overhaul.
