Originally built for the Army, the loco was acquired by the National Coal Board and ran at South Hetton Colliery, Co. Durham as their No 72. It was having a boiler washout on my visit in 1971, so no photo from those days as it was lurking in a cramped shed. Nothing now remains of the South Hetton site. It has been obliterated.

Recently restored to its NCB number and livery. South Hetton 72 rides again.
