The ex War Department Bagnall built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75158 "The Duke" is now operational again for the first time in 23 years following the completion of its overhaul at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, and will enter service during their Winter Steam in the Valley Gala, from the 31st of December 2023 to the 1st of January 2024.

The ex War Department Bagnall built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75158 or (J94 No. 68012) "The Duke" is in its final stages of overhaul as its boiler is now complete and ready for its hydraulic test in the coming week. Once undertaken successfully, a steam test will follow and it will then be returned to Wirksworth for mating to its frames. The further tests will be carried out before the locomotive enters service at Ecclesbourne Valley Railway soon.
