The ex Birchenwood Gas & Coke Works Peckett built 0-6-0ST (Works No. 2153) No. 5 is now located back home at the Caledonian Railway at Brechin, Angus in Scotland, still under overhaul.

The ex Birchenwood Gas & Coke Works Peckett built 0-6-0ST (Works No. 2153) No. 5 has returned home to the Caledonian Railway at Brechin, Angus in Scotland following overhaul work on its frames carried out at the Flour Mill Works at Bream in Gloucestershire, which has seen the wheels refitted and new crown brasses machined, among other jobs. With the frames of the locomotive now back at Brechin the boiler has now been sent to the Flour Mill Works for its overhaul while the frames will have more work carried out on it as work has started cleaning up the frames, ready to run pipework and reassemble the running gear.

There has been a discovery that former Birchenwood Gas & Coke Works Peckett built 0-6-0ST No. 5 is under restoration at the Flour Mill Works at Bream in Gloucestershire.
