The ex GWR Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 4936 "Kinlet Hall", has now left Tyseley Locomotive Works and has relocated to the West Somerset Railway at Minehead in Somerset, for final completion of its overhaul.

The ex GWR Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 4936 "Kinlet Hall", will be leaving Tyseley Locomotive Works and returning to the West Somerset Railway at Minehead in Somerset, for its final stages of its overhaul to be completed.

The ex GWR Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 4936 "Kinlet Hall" is undergoing the most most extensive overhaul since her first overhaul in preservation as the locomotive is set to return to the mainline and heritage railway circuit soon as its owning company Kinlet Hall Ltd, which is part of JJP Holdings South West Ltd. have teamed up with Tyseley, and they have offered the use of their equipment for use on their mainline railtour program.

With much of the mechanical work done, the frames have been prepared for the reassembly of the loco. Particular attention has been given to achieving the highest standard of paint finish.

Away from Tyseley, the wheel sets have been shot blasted and ultrasonically tested at the West Somerset Railway.

4936 has been withdrawn from service for overhaul and has been moved to Tyseley Locomotive Works where it will take place at.
