After being on display undercover at the Mountsorrel & Rothley Community Heritage Centre Railway Museum for the last few years, the ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 has returned to Loughborough shed on the Great Central Railway in readiness for its overhaul.

The ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 has been moved down the Great Central line to be relocated and placed undercover for display at the Mountsorrel Railway Museum at Rothley in Leicestershire till there is space at Loughborough shed for overhaul.

LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 has reached the end of its boiler ticket this week and has been taken out of service for her 10 year overhaul.

LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 has been put back into service again having been given a six month extension to its boiler ticket. No. 47406 will remain in service at the Great Central Railway till May 2020.

The ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 has now been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul having worked its last trains during the Last Hurrah Gala at the Great Central Railway last weekend.

LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 is visiting the Epping Ongar Railway in Essex for the August Bank Holiday weekend and will be running trains then from the 23rd to 26th of August 2019.

No. 47406 is to make a 2 week visit to the Nene Valley Railway from October and will be running from the 25th to the 28th and will also take part at there Wizards Express for Halloween that weekend as well.

LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 is also off on its travels from the Great Central Railway this summer as it is visiting the Ecclesbourne Valley railway in Derbyshire for there summer season as well.

LMS Jinty No. 47406 is visiting the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust at Midsomer Norton in Somerset for two weekends starting from the 10th till the 18th of March 2018. The visit is to co inside the opening of the new extension of track there.
