#208 was converted to coal in Indiana. The locomotive was built as an oil burner. I was told parts from #97 were used for the conversion.

#97 was the oil burner. #208 burned coal.

#208 last operated in 1996, the last year of the lease to IRM. Plans still call for #208's return to Texas, once arrangements are completed for its home in the D/FW metroplex.

Engine is not operational it is on display at depot. There is talk of moving it back to the owners in TX.
