In a deal with the Mid Hants Railway the ex Southern Railway rebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain Class Pacific No. 34058 "Sir Frederick Pile" will be taken into the care of Southern Locomotives Ltd. which will see the restoration from Barry Scrapyard condistion be carried by them alongside the restoration of sister Bulleid Light Pacific West Country Class No. No. 34010 "Sidmouth". No. 34058 will be moved to Southern Locomotive Ltd’s open-air restoration site at Sellindge in Kent where work will get underway on the frames of the locomotive as they will be needle-gunned and painted. Then in 2024 both No. 34058 and No. 34010 will then be moved to Southern Locomotive Ltd’s workshop at Herston next to the Swanage Railway for full restoration work there. Already parts for No. 34058 have been found and made and a good start has been made with the restoration at the Mid Hants Railway and it is hoped that "Sir Frederick Pile" will be in steam within the next five years.

Thank you Mr. Clements. I have removed the erroneous information. It referred to an earlier photo that had been displayed for this locomotive and is now in the photo album for this locomotive.

Photo caption is not correct. This was taken at Bitton on the Avon Valley Railway. I am a working member and know exactly where the locomotive was.
