The ex NCB Bedlay Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST No. 23 is now under restoration to steam again at the Doon Valley Railway which is the new name of the Scottish Industrial Railway Centre.

Did No.23 go to Bedlay? My last visit there was in April 81 when 6 AB2043/37, 9 HC895/09 & 17 AB2296/50 were present but o.o.u.,colliery having closed, so it would seem strange - unless for centralisation - to add 23 to the three already unemployed. I understood 23 to have been a long-time standby to dsls at Cardowan.
