Restoration work on "North Downs" is now underway as its firebox is down at the North Norfolk Railway s Weybourne works as for it to be used as a back plate for the building of a new firebox for the locomotive.

North Downs has been sold and has moved to the Ferryhill Railway Heritage Trust in North East Scotland.

North Downs is currently in kit parts and has been put up for sale.
