The former Park Hill Colliery Hudswell Clark built 0-6-0T No. S102 "Cathryn" is now in the final stages of its overhaul and rebuild as her boiler had successfully passed its hydraulic test which was undertaken by Israel Newton & Son at Cromford in November 2020. The boiler is soon to be returned Wirksworth for its official steam test soon. Which hopefully the locomotive will enter service at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway this year.

Progress to date is impressive. The frames have been straightened, a necessary job to repair old collision damage. A new smokebox has been fitted and the restored cab and side tanks fitted. The boiler is off site at a nearby contractor for overhaul.
