The former NCB Darfield Main Colliery Hunslet built 0-6-0ST Works No. 3783 "Darfield No 1" now running in the guise as long lost Hunslet built Works No. 1451 "Holly Bank No. 3" has returned to steam again as her overhaul is now completed and the locomotive will be undergoing test runs and running trials before entering service at the Chasewater Railway soon.

Darield No. 1 or Holly Bank No. 3 has been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul. It worked its last trains at the Chasewater Railway over the Christmas season last year.

My granddad used to drive this this loco at the latter end of its working pit life at Darfield

Hunslet Engine Co. No.3783 "Darfield No.1" built 1953. In use 1953-1973 at NCB Darfield Main Colliery near Barnsley. 

Based and restored at The Llangollen Railway.

At present (January 2007) on hire to Dartmoor Railway and the only Hunslet 16" saddle tank in working order.
