The ex Austin Motor Co. Ltd Kitson & Co built 0-6-0ST Works No. 5459 "Austin No. 1", has gone back on loan to the Cambrian Heritage Railway at Oswestry in Shropshire again for another season as their main steam locomotive for the 2025 running season there. To note the Llangollen & Corwen Railway has gone back to being known as the Llangollen Railway again.

With its hired visit to the Cambrian Heritage Railway at Oswestry in Shropshire now finnished, the ex Austin Motor Co. Ltd Kitson & Co built 0-6-0ST Works No. 5459 "Austin No. 1", has returned home to the Llangollen & Corwen Railway for the winter and will be out next at their upcoming Branchline Gala from the 11th to 13th of April 2025, and then afterwords will going out on hire to another preserved railway during the summer months.

Former Austin Motor Co. Ltd Kitson & Co built 0-6-0ST Works No. 5459 "Austin No 1" is going on loan to Peak Rail in Derbyshire for the 2023 season there as extra motive power for them.

With its loan to the the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust at Midsomer Norton in Somerset now over the ex Austin Motor Co. Ltd Kitson & Co built 0-6-0ST Works No. 5459 "Austin No 1" is returning home to the Llangollen Railway for the winter to be ready for its next hire to another heritage railway in 2023.

The Llangollen Railway Trust have argreed to extend the hire of Austin Motor Co. Ltd 1932 Kitson & Co built 0-6-0ST Works No. 5459 "Austin No 1" to the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust at Midsomer Norton in Somerset for the 2022 season.

The ex Austin Motor Co. Ltd 1932 Kitson & Co built 0-6-0ST Works No. 5459 "Austin No 1" will remain on loan to the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust at Midsomer Norton in Somerset for the remainder of the year. As the locomotive will be used in their End of season gala on the 23rd and 24th October 2021 and she will also be hauling their Santa Special trains over the Christmas season.

On a happier note ex Austin Motor Co. Ltd 1932 Kitson & Co built 0-6-0ST Works No. 5459 "Austin No 1" will still be remaining at the Llangollen Railway after the problems there that have now all been sorted out and will be visiting the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust at Midsomer Norton for the summer season from July to September 2021.

The former Austin Motor Co. Ltd 1932 Kitson & Co built 0-6-0ST No. 5459 "Austin No 1" has returned to service at the Llangollen Railway following completion of its 10 overhaul.
