The now numbered LMS/British Railways (Croydon Gas Works) Sentinel built 4wVBGT No. 47109 "Joyce" has been offered to the Somerset & Dorset Railway Heritage Trust by her current owner and the railway has launched a £55,000 appeal to help raise the funds to buy the locomotive. Even though "Joyce" never worked on the legendry Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway her design was the inspiration for the two Sentinel locomotives of the same design that were used at Radstock in the days of the Somerset and Dorset and LMS and British Railways.

The ex Croydon Gas Works Sentinel built 4wVBGT "Joyce" currently running as LMS No. 7109 will be visiting the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for their Cotswold Festival of Steam weekend on the 3rd to 5th of June 2022. Which will have a strong Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway theme to the Gala marking 60 years of the last Pines Express train that ran over the legendry route.
